Tompkins Cortland Grad Helps with Puerto Rico Recovery Effort

Jonathan Hatala, a 2018 graduate, is spending part of his summer in Puerto Rico, taking part in the ongoing recovery efforts. It's his first trip to the island, but far from the first time he has helped out. The Chancellor's Award winner was part of a student club effort to raise money and supplies for Puerto Rico in Fall 2017, and now he wants to do more.

In between a study abroad trip to Colombia and getting ready to start his fall semester at Columbia University, he's been selected to take part in a SUNY effort.
