Local Students Earn TC3 Honors College Scholarships

DRYDEN, N.Y. – Nine local students have earned Honors College Scholarships at TC3. The award, which covers tuition and fees, is available to top students from the school districts in Tompkins and Cortland Counties.

The TC3 Honors College was formed three years ago as an expansion of the previous honors program. To be accepted into the Honors College, a student must meet strict academic standards, including graduating in the top 15% of their senior class and graduating with a GPA of at least a 90 average. Applicants are also required to submit SAT scores, letters of reference, and complete an essay.

Students in the Honors College complete honors classes, which are smaller and require more student participation than traditional offerings. Completion of the program brings an Honors College degree, which will afford graduates additional transfer opportunities.
